Decline of Mental Function

I have mentioned this before - without training and exercising, a person's mental function declines along with physical ability as one ages. Since more than one decade ago I have done mental exercises using the sotware at Lumosity.com. The best feature of the software, in my opinion, is that it keeps a historical record of your mental ability along many dimensions.. Since starting more than a decade ago, my best composite score was "1043" achieves in my seventies. About two years ago, my exercise scores began to decline to the "990s". On rare occasions I can still break into "1000s". One year ago, my scores start to drop more often into high "980s" . Now two days in a row, my scores was in 970s. Although this is still only a 7% decrease from ym highest score ever. One nevertheless must accept the fact that ones mental functions are also declining and take comnfort that you no longer have to compete with younger hotshots. Furthermore, wisdom gained with age which is different from intelligence and not measured by such tests make life still worth living.
