Gut flora is probably the origin of hunger sensation of human

Food is a critical need for us to avoid hunger sensation in life. Is the brain feeding center the only source of hunger sensation? Considering that gut flora also need food for living, we hypothesized that gut flora might contribute to the origin of human hunger sensation. This work was started from ten years ago when I was suffered from obesity, diabetes and severe fatty liver because body mass index over 33. I tried several methods to control body weight but failed and finally gave up because it is too difficult. Coincidentally, as there are numbers of reports that gut flora is closely related to obesity, we turned attentions to gut flora. Considering that gut flora are also organisms created by the nature but living in human gut, there is a natural question that what did the gut flora eat to live. Is it possible that the gut flora will eat the human gut mucosa to live? If the gut mucosa was digested and destroyed by gut flora, is it possible that the gut flora will utilize the blood glucose seepage from blood vessels as their food? From this point of view on the food needed by gut flora, we decide to test the hypothesis that whether gut flora contribute a lot to origin of human hunger sensation. After using some special food such as natural plant polysaccharides and dietary fibers which could only be utilized by gut flora other that human, we found the hunger sensation of volunteers gradually decreased and finally disappeared. During the following 7-14 days by feeding the gut flora with plant polysaccharides and dietary fiber as their favorite food in three meal times every day, the volunteers especially fat people have no obvious hunger sensation and better health by only drinking water. This technology, called as flexible fasting, has been studied and validated with real world evidences in several hospitals and have benefited many people suffered from obesity, diabetes and severe fatty liver. Therefore, the gut flora-centric theory was developed to reveal the biological significance of gut flora living in gut because the natural design is the gut flora eating people then people eating food. It is probably a natural law that the nature using symbiotic microorganism to originate the hunger sensation of human and animals for microbiome-host interactions.
