     服用碘片可以减少甲状腺对放射性物质的吸收。一旦遭到辐射，服用适量碘片可以使甲状腺少吸收90%的放射性碘。

     碘片服用剂量：成年人100毫克；3至12岁的孩子，及孕妇可食用50毫克。三岁以下儿童，25毫克。但一些包括曾接受放射性碘治疗、对碘过敏或有皮肤病的人，应该有节制或不服用碘片。

     During a radiation incident, thyroid, a human tissue, may absorb radioactive iodine. Taking iodine tablets can reduce the tissue's absorption of this radioactive substance. Consuming iodine tablets after exposure can prevent the absorption of 90 percent of radioactive iodine.

     Adults are recommended to take 100 milligrams; kids aged between three and 12 and pregnant women should take 50 milligrams. Children under three years old should take 25 milligrams.

But people who have received radioactive iodine treatment, are allergic to iodine or have skin problems should take the tablets sparingly or not use them at all.
