Why?
Try to translate "monsoon." It will give you "rainy season." Ok, that was what monsoon used to mean (actually, it used to mean heavy rains in summer over India), but not any more.
Instead, you should go to wikipedia.com and read the first paragraph on "monsoon." (Unfortunately, its third paragraph needs revision.)
