2012年以来，经过5年合作，“中白先进塑性成形技术联合实验室”于2017年5月我们访问白俄罗斯科学院时正式签署协议，2017年10月白俄罗斯科学院客人来访时正式挂牌成立（http://www.imr.cas.cn/xwzx/zhxw/201711/t20171101_4882598.html）。

下面是本人在实验室成立仪式上的讲话。

A Speech at the Opening Ceremony of the Joint Metal Forming Laboratory BetweenIMR/CAS and PTI/NASB

Dear Friends from PTI Belarus, Dear colleagues, Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, Good afternoon!

Today is a special day. We have friends from Belarus to visit us, here we are celebrating the Opening of the Joint Metal Forming Laboratory Between IMR/CAS and PTI/NASB, which agreements have been singed when we visited PTI of National Science Academy of Belarus on the morning of 30^th May, signed by the Director of PTI and me, and also the Director of IMR afterwards.

We started the academic visits and cooperation around 5 years ago, which was introduced by the officials of the Department of  Science and Technology of Shenyang Municipal Government. Since then, we visit each other every year. We found a wide cooperation space in the Metal Forming Area, including cross-wedge rolling and impact sheet hydrofoming,  which technologies can be widely used for component production of automobiles, high speed trains, aircraft and aerospace, atomic power. Until now, we have obtained some good progresses in basic research and process investigation of hot rolling preforming of aircraft blades and some other components, also we have made a great progress in basic research and equipment development of Impact Hydrofoming, which will have a plentiful developing prospect. 

What is important, we have become very good friends in the recent years. Both Belarus and China are great Nations. Belarusian people have a great history, they made a lot of achievements both in culture and in science. They also made a great contribution in the second Ward War and they made a lot of help to China during the War and the construction and development of New China. Especially in recent 20 years, we are cooperating more and more. There have been a China-Belarus Science Coalition several years ago.    Two years ago,  The Great Stone Industrial  Park was founded in Minsk by Belarusian Government and Chinese Government, which is developing so smoothly, Chinese automobiles have started production in Belarus. Belarus is also a very important Country for the Belt and Road Project, so we have more and more cooperation oppotunities. 

PTI/NSAB is also a very strong and famous research Institution in the world, they have made a lot of achievements in the past hundred years. For example, the famous ECAE (equal channel angular extrusion) method was invented by the famous scientist of PTI 30 years ago. The Belarusian Scientists are clever, hard working and very friendly. I am sure to have very prospective cooperation future.

Here I announce the Opening of the Joint Metal Forming Laboratory Between IMR/CAS and PTI/NASB.  We will make our best to cooperate as we promised in the agreement.
