由于海航的各种延误， 现在刚在宾馆里洗漱好， 半小时前躺倒床上， 但始终无法入睡，觉得起来写的什么以纪念刚过去的bmvc2013会议。

也许是习惯了论文八股文的形式， 这篇游记我将分别讲述 BMVC 会议日程， 观景， 空中行程 和一些见闻四方面展开。

BMVC会议日程：

这是我第一次参加视觉会议， 虽然之前ECCV, ICME, MM都可以去， 但是由于种种原因不得不放弃。

If we have ten levels for BMVC 2013, we give it Rank 2.

Every thing is almost perfect.

Yes I must admit that the paper quality is lower than three top conferences. But BMVC also represents a high level vision conference.

1: The organization is great.

I must thank Bristol university for organizing this conference so well. Every body can choose their loved paper. BMVC 2013 has 132 papers. The progrmme is perfert.

2: A lot of top researcher join in this conference.

Andrew Zisserman gives a keynote. I have a long and detailed discussion with Prof. Matti Pietikäinen who firstly proposed the LBP. Before, I mainly follow their works. I also some other famous researchers.  

3: Reciept and Banquet are ok.

Unlike with the conferences in china, the reciept is simple, but effective. Any people are equal, no prior for the top researcher. The Banquet is ok.

4: I have made a lot of friends from all over the world, especially the chinese researchers.

Xh Huang; J, Chen; TZ, Ge; Y, Li; Q, Wu; X, Ruan, F, Zhu and etc.

Visiting

Bristol is great city. I get known about the British Building, City Hall, Church from Bristol.

The best place I like is the Bath. Bath is a small town around the bristol city.

Unlike the other guies who always like to the famous universities, such as Oxford, Cambridge, ICL. I just like the beautiful view, flower, plant and suitable life tune. Bath is such a town. When I see around this twon, I fully fall love in it. I promise that I will go back again. Maybe the next BMVC conference. Maybe, If I have chance, I will visit Bath university and live there for several months.

My friend(TZ, Ge) always wants to go to Oxford or Cambriedge. So We go oxford. We see a lot of familar Oxford Building which exists in the OXford building dataset. The Oxford university is so large. If in future, you want to visit the oxford, please prepare more. We just see around by ourselves with any guide.

We both buy a Nike shoes. Nike is cheaper in Oxford than in China. Although we don't totally understand the oxford, we still have a happy afternoon.

空中行程

这次的空中之旅还是比较不顺利的。 我们选择在海南航空官方网站买票因为我们觉得它便宜。我来回8000.

去： 北京 -》 Brussel, then Brussel to London. Take coach, we arrive at Bristol.

回： London->brussel, Brussel ->beijing.

去的时候， 由于各种jiy基友的情节， 我们在Brussel错过了我们的航班（Luckily, they can arrange another one for us freely）， 又由于各种行李问题（英国签证很其它欧洲签证不同， 对于其它欧洲国家一个签证你可以畅游欧洲但是英国是他们自己的签证， 所以我们出不了机场的）， 我们再次错过了下一班。 最后在下午5:00点时候我们上了飞机， 又一顿折腾， 9：30我们到了住的地方。

回的时候， 在brussel更坑爹， 海航无故推迟航班（从15号下午1:50 推迟到 16号凌晨8点， 中间几次变动， 13:50-》17:50-》1:00-》4:00-》6:00-》最后八点走的）， 这里面有太多故事。

1： 推迟原因， 海航航空找了一个零时工在那里稳住200多旅客， 主要是中国人。 那哥们没有任何觉得权， 唯一的就是敷衍。 关于推迟原因， 海航说是飞机雷达盖撞鸟了， 要维修。 但后面推测很有可能是“韩国济州岛， 2000多华人被扣， 海航的飞机派过去接人了”。 国内永远是国企永远先解决媒体报道， 国内关心的事情。其它就敷衍。

2： 我们数10人持英国签证被归为了一类（少数），由于都市学生， 大家都比较文明， 相信对方会给我们解决好。 下午6:30的样子， 其他人同意出去住酒店，由于没有欧洲签证， 海航weiy唯一的一个业余的工作人员让我们先等他， 等他把大多数人带到酒店， 然后很快过来处理我们的问题，我们被带到了一个休息室， 本以为即使出不去在这里带到他们说凌晨2:00也可以接受， 结果对方告诉我们8:30关门。 我们等到关门的时候来了另外一哥们，大家满心欢喜以为可以去酒店休息了（临时过境签），结果一去， 对方告诉我们这东西要搞到凌晨12点， 让我们放弃。 过程太多， 不累述。 最后我们过了安检， 没了水， 没了吃的进入了机场， 没有网， 商店关门， 我们试图在沙发睡了（当时大概11:30， 手上没有行李， 没有多余的衣服），一个小时我冷醒了， 怕再睡会感冒， 我毅然决然没在睡， 偌大的机场我们十号人， 冷清， 荒凉。

长达8小时的等待我们上了飞机， 肚子都呱呱叫了， 还好在飞机上吃到了我也不知道是早晨还是午餐的饭， 爽了一把。 还行三天没见到米饭了。。

见闻：

见闻其实很多， 不知道写那些好：

1: 英语基本不够用， 英国人英语口语很重， 比较难懂。

2：IBis酒店还可以 （75磅左右， 提供早餐）

3： National expression还是很方便的， 入从London Heathrow airport to Birstol, or to OXford. (价格机制我不懂， 不过不便宜)。

4： 英国的Bus， railway真心贵， 随便两站地， 20-30人民币就没了， 怀念北京2毛（学生卡）。

5：食物吃3天还可以， 在吃就腻了。

6：英国天气不错，空气很好， 北京无法比拟。 人家天晴可见万米， 北京雾天可见十米。

7：英国黑人听多， 华人也挺多。

8： 其实出国不懂英文也可以， 来的时候就看见好几个不懂英文的去旅游。

总之太多， 争取明年BMVC在来一次， 好好看看bath。 住上几天。

语法问题太多， 不去检查了。。。。。
