The following strategies were proposed for improving the subject service by studying the resources deve-?lopment, ideas and outcomes of subject service in Library of Xi'an Jiaotong University, including subject users should effectively communicate with subject librarians, subject platform design should be closely combined with the teaching and research in its associated college or university, and subject service should produce its excellent products.?
