2011 International Forum on Contaminated Sites Remediation Chongqing China 25-27, October 2011 (The First Announcement) The 2011 International Forum on Contaminated Sites Remediation , as well as the 9th Annual Academic Meeting of Environmental Science Society of Chongqing,, will be held on Oct. 25-27, 2011 in Chongqing by Environmental Science Society of Chongqing , and co-hosted by Chongqing Solid Waste Management Center, Chongqing Contaminated Sites Management and Restoration Research Center and the Chinese Ecological Restoration Networks (www.er-china.com) to response the Twelve Five-Year Strategic Planning of Chinese Soil Environmental Protection, to improve the Chinese soil environmental science and technology, to promote the development of Chinese contaminated sites management system based on the risk assessment, to strengthen the engineering application ability of Chinese sustainable environmental restoration and promote the international cooperation and communication for contaminated sites management. In this forum, there would be leaders from the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China, representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency of Chongqing as well as other provinces and cities of China and the famous experts from domestic and abroad would give the lectures. The well-known remediation companies from domestic and abroad also would be invited to share their techniques, equipments and engineering cases. This Forum is aimed to discuss the industry development of the environmental risk assessment and remediation for contaminated sites, the current situation and development tendency of contaminated sites management and remediation, the RD, manufactory and application of remediation equipments, the financing mechanism, and the engineering operation and so on.
