The best of psychology Today.
(Institute for Behavioral Economics Research at Tilburg University)头目,经常发表一些人性基础方面有争议的发现。 恰好在上一周(即8月29日止9月3日),Stapel送了一份新闻发布稿,其中声称自己的简单思维只是想让我们反社会不良现象和反粗鲁( claiming that thinking of eating meat makes people "more boorish" and less social )。
今天的Nature上发表了一篇书评,题目是:《A long, diligent life》。 此文评价的是斯坦福大学的Howard S. Friedman和Leslie R. Martin最近出版的一本书《The Longevity Project: Surprising Discoveries for Health and Long Life from the Landmark Eight-Decade Study》。 西方人传统观念也类似,“taking it easy and lacking ambition”。 注释 (1)我不知道翻译得准确与否,“执着的追求更有益于健康和长寿”的原文是:“working hard for long hours in a demanding job to achieve high status is better for your health and life expectancy”。
