巴西新冠疫情蔓延加剧诸平据巴西卫生部当地时间2020年5月8日公布的数据，巴西单日新增新冠肺炎确诊病例10222例，累计确诊病例已经达到145328例，累计死亡9897人。巴西新冠肺炎疫情最为严重的地区——圣保罗州州长，5月8日宣布，将再次延长全州范围内的隔离令至5月31日。因为该州确诊病例已经超过4万，达到41830例；累计死亡3416人。而且另外一个州（里约州），单日新增死亡人数189人，首次超过圣保罗州（161人），成为巴西24h内死亡人数最多的地区。里约州是巴西新冠疫情的高发区，截止当地时间5月8日，里约州确诊新冠肺炎15741例，死亡1503日。4月份以来巴西新冠疫情的变化有不断加剧之势（如下图所示）。图1 巴西新增病例和死亡人数处于上升态势图2 4月1日以来巴西单日新增确诊病例数的变化图3 4月1日以来巴西单日死亡病例数的变化

一种新的反映各国应对新冠疫情表现好坏的指标——加、瑞、美全球最糟

新型冠状病毒疾病（Covid-19，简称新冠）是一种新型传染病，至今在世界范围内已经感染了四百多万人，死亡27.6万人。因为各国的国情不同，应对新冠的策略大相径庭。中国等亚洲国家普通采取了大量检测，积极隔离治疗等措施，而欧美国家大多采取只检测重症的策略，确诊数据与真实数据相差较远。以瑞典为例，官方认为真实的确诊人数大约为目前报告的确诊人数乘以75倍（但未公布数学模型及模型背后的数据）。不同欧美国家需要乘的系数可能不同，但是报告人数低于真实人数确实是普遍共识。在这种情况下，比较不同国家的确诊数是非常不准确的。而死亡人数相对要准确的多，死亡人数绝对数目也比感染人数少，更加具有操作性，而且通过对比确诊人员的登记和死亡登记数据库，可以尽可能的把新冠致死的病例找出来。当然总是会存在在确诊前就去世的情况，这部分人也不会被统计。有些国家如德国英国，老人院的死亡数据可能没有被算入统计，而法国瑞典等国的死亡数据也包含了老人院的数据。无论如何，在需要对比不同国家的新冠情况时，死亡数据是我们可以用的最准确的数据。不同国家因为人口差别巨大，如果单纯关注死亡数据的绝对值，也很难对比抗疫策略的效果，现在比较常用的是比较每百万人口的死亡数据，这样可以考虑到总人口的影响。然而，总人口相同而面积或人口密度不同，也会很大程度影响防疫措施。我国疫情最重的武汉，人口约一千万，为了控制疫情，采取了非常严厉而有效的措施，包括封城、兴建火神山雷神山、方舱医院等严格隔离和综合措施。瑞典全国总人口也大约一千万，但是瑞典面积比德国大，人口密度较低，即使推行非常宽松的防疫政策，防疫效果仍然不是最差的，仍然至今尚未实现群体免疫的目标，疫情最重的首都斯德哥尔摩地区，初步结果显示人群抗体的阳性率也只有大约百分之十。笔者建议采用一种新的方法，即利用人口密度校正后的百万死亡数据，来比较各国的疫情，这样可以既考虑人口的总量，同时也考虑了人口密度的影响。因为新冠防治的重要措施之一是保持足够的社交距离，而人口密度低本身就可起到部分社交隔离的效果。对于人口密度大的国家而言，要达到相同的百万人口死亡数需要付出比人口密度低的国家更多的努力。因此，人口密度低的国家，如果百万人口死亡数据高的话，反映出来该国抗疫表现更差。下图为笔者采用人口密度校正后的百万死亡数据绘制的模型图。新冠的数据来源 https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ 新冠数据采用2020年5月9日上午的数据。各国人口密度采用2020年的数据。绘图时，以百万死亡数为3作为阈值，选取百万死亡数大于等于3的国家，同时绝对死亡数字大于一千人的国家，得到21个国家，见下图。该图中横坐标为传统的每百万人口的新冠死亡数据，纵坐标为笔者建议的新指标，即用人口密度校正的百万死亡数，然后进行排序后的展示。图中圆圈直径大小反映的是新冠死亡人数，颜色代表该国所属的洲。从图中可以看出，用人口密度校正后的百万死亡数最大的是加拿大，其次是瑞典，再次是美国。图中越靠上的国家，人口密度校正后的百万死亡数约高。图中越靠右的国家，每百万死亡数越高。所以左下角的是百万死亡数和人口密度校正后的百万死亡数都很小的国家，可以看出，中国这两个数字是本次统计中最低的，也是表现最好的。
