如流星划过土星的天际 —— Cassini 昨日谢幕

昨日,星际飞船 Cassini(卡西尼)高速掠过土星大气层,绚丽燃烧如流星划过天际。。。 2004年,宇航学会深空探测专业委员会在哈工大开成立大会。会议期间,卡西尼的探测器 Huygens(惠更斯)开启对 Titan(土卫六;土星最大卫星,与 Titanic 号一样,以希腊神话巨人 Titan 命名)的探测之旅。这应该是人类历史上第一次真正意思上的深空探测(月球毕竟近)。从那次会我也在空间科学的意义上与哈工大结缘。 土星光环的卫星探测研究也开启了一个新的研究领域:尘埃等离子体物理。我有幸参与了其早期研究。今天尘埃等离子体物理研究也在回归空间科学和行星科学的领域。 历史悄然流逝,唯有英名长存。。。 转发: 20年,它的心跳,停止在那一秒..... https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/jYNQuZN_alMIUHs32jyOMA

前进前进,土卫二的一张照片

作者:蒋迅 Source: bad astronomy 土卫二 ( Enceladus )是土星第六大卫星,1789年由 威廉·赫歇尔 ( William Herschel )发现。在其冰冻的外表之下,土卫二似乎有大量的液体水存在。在南极的 冰火山 ( Cryovolcano )处,有大量的水蒸汽喷出,总量达每秒二百五十公斤。其中一部分回落到土卫二上,另一些加入到土星的大环里,还有一部分落到土星上。这张照片是由NASA的 卡西尼-惠更斯号 ( Cassini─Huygens )土星探测器拍摄的。特别有意思的是,从这张照片看,土卫二就像是一个球形的火箭在燃料的推进下正在徐徐上升。 写于没有NASA网站的日子里。

今天,喷气推进实验室JPL的网站正在快速发布卡西尼探测器昨天和前天拍摄的土卫二的图片.土卫二(Enceladus)已被探测到有冰火山的存在,被认为在冰层下,有大量的液态水,因而有一定可能存在微生物.更多信息请访问: http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov 由于没有时间写更多的文字材料,请大家参阅图片为主,所有图片均为未校准过的RAW IMAGE.土卫二表面比较年轻,有大量的沟壑,希望有兴趣的地质研究者尝试进行影像解译.国内学者在尝试利用行星际无人探测器研究太阳系天体地质方面已经有先例,如韩同林等人《火星地貌与地质》一书就是很好的作品。 图1,图片说明: W00060951.jpg was taken on November 02, 2009 and received on Earth November 02, 2009.
