美国麻省大学Caterina Strambio-De-Castillia团队开发出一个基于领域内规范收集显微镜元数据的互动工具。2021年12月3日,国际知名学术期刊《自然—方法学》发表了这一成果。

研究人员开发了Micro-Meta应用程序,这是一个直观、高度互用的开源软件工具,是在4D Nucleome(4DN)联盟的背景下开发的,旨在促进提取和收集最近4DN-BINA-OME分层系统的显微镜元数据规范所规定的相关显微镜元数据。除了大大降低质量保证的负担外,Micro-Meta App的可视化性质使其特别适合于培训目的。

据悉,为了保证质量、解释、重现性和分享价值,显微镜图像应伴有对产生这些图像的条件的详细描述。

Abstract: For quality, interpretation, reproducibility and sharing value, microscopy images should be accompanied by detailed descriptions of the conditions that were used to produce them. Micro-Meta App is an intuitive, highly interoperable, open-source software tool that was developed in the context of the 4D Nucleome (4DN) consortium and is designed to facilitate the extraction and collection of relevant microscopy metadata as specified by the recent 4DN-BINA-OME tiered-system of Microscopy Metadata specifications. In addition to substantially lowering the burden of quality assurance, the visual nature of Micro-Meta App makes it particularly suited for training purposes. Micro-Meta App is an intuitive, highly interoperable, open-source software tool designed to facilitate the extraction and collection of relevant microscopy metadata as specified by recent community guidelines.
