By now, I am sure every ScienceNet reader is aware of the serious pollution 

problems in China. No need for me to say anything more. Since August 2007, 

the New York Times has been running a seven part series on pollution in China

 (the latest appeared on 12/8/07). The above URL is the place to find all seven

 distribution by organizations like science net. If there is enough demand, I am

While I have only read the first and the last article, In my opinion this is a fair and
 balanced account of the problem and responsibilities faced by China, her people,
 and the rest of the world. Worth reading! (For example. Here is something I did
 not know.  It is not private automobile but trucks used to transport goods that is
 the main culprit for air pollution. But the government is forced to heavily
 subsidize truck fuel production in order to keep the economy going)
