Application Process for a Non-Immigrant Visa
操作步骤

1.  Complete the DS-160 form online. (1 form per person)
网上填写和提交D-160表格，填写并不难，可参照google或百度模板，填写提交完毕后打印confirmation页面。此处需要上传5X5cm的美国签证电子照片。如果你有最近拍的白底的彩色可以在此处进行裁剪  ttps://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/general/photos.html  右侧有crop功能，还是蛮方便的，按照要求把照片放好，裁剪保存。

2.  After you have completed the DS-160 go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com -(select country and language)
填写完D-160表格后，提交打印后到此网站https://ais.usvisa-info.com注册登记和交钱，预约面签
•    Click on “Apply” to create your account 注册
.    Enter the applicants data. 填写个人信息与D-160一致
•    Pay the U.S. visa fee via electronic funds transfer (EFT)
注册完后需要转账签证费160$，约144欧，系统会自动生成银行转账信息和PIN码，转账时把PIN码写到free message处就好了。此处我们常用信用卡不好使，需要master或visa 借记卡，就银行网上转账吧，也不麻烦。
•    Select the return location for your documents
转账完后，等2-3天，你预留的邮箱会收到确认转账成功信息，然后就可以预约面签了。
•    Select your appointment date 选择面签日期
•    Read and print out the appointment summary 选择完面签日期后，打印确认信和面签说明。
You are able to reschedule your appointment online if necessary. 你可以重新选择面签日期，但需要在一定规定内，注意说明。

3.  Attend your interview appointment at the Consular Section in Brussels 面签，建议早去排队，一般是9点或9点半开始，我还是有点晚了，排了好久，等个把小时。
Reminder: Please make sure to bring 1 recent color photograph per person with you to your interview: 带一张照片，就是上面裁剪的5X5cm照片，去洗照片的地方冲洗，5欧的样子。我面签的时候也没有要，说是有电子版的了，填D-160表时上传的。
•        Size: 5 x 5 cm.
•        Only recent photos not older than 6 months will be accepted! 近期照片
•        Only photographs with a white background will be accepted! 白底彩色

4.  Check the status of your visa application.  追踪签证状态

5.   Your documents and visa are returned to your selected location by mail – usually within 7 business days (Without counting the day of your interview!).  Attention: Some cases require additional administrative processing.  If this is the case, the consular officer will inform you during the visa interview.

下面说一下去美国开会可能用到的材料（其他类型签证要求的不大清楚）：

(我都准备了，但只用到了会议注册和邀请函)

还有就是以前预约面签，需要打电话，面签时还要带信封，好像这些都取消了，美国签证处更新服务了。

面签：火车站中心站出来穿过皇宫花园，DS-160确认表上也有地址，但要到后门去办签证。面签整个过程包括等待需2个小时左右（可能还要长），真正和面签官对话也有5分钟（可能还要短，我也就2-3min搞定了）。

（1）尽量比预约时间提前1-2小时，到了后门口有门卫会帮你签到，门卫让进的时候，进屋第一步出示护照，关闭手机，脱掉外套，进行安检，手机和包寄存会拿到一张纸条证明行李寄存；

（2）进入第二道门，拿着申请材料，进门先取号，等待大屏幕上叫号，估计要等我就看了会文献，唉，也有电视看。有8个窗口，5是交费的，好像和我们无关，6，7，8是递交基础材料和录指纹的，1，2，3，4是签证官面签；

（3）等第一次叫到号的时候，拿护照，DS-160确认表，给工作人员即可，确认完后就等第二次叫号。第二次叫号是去按工作人员指示录入指纹，先左手4指，然后右手4指，最后两个大拇指同时，完成后继续等待第3次叫号，面签；

（4）第3次叫号便是和签证官面签：我经历的问题如下：1）先是问好，然后问我计划去哪，我说去美国开会，随便聊了聊开什么会，读什么专业，搞什么研究的。因为不是敏感专业，所以不那么严格吧；签证官一边看电脑查看你的D-160表格，随便问问，不紧张就好，没那么困难。全程不到5min，庆幸签证官人还比较nice，最后说了句visa approved，下周寄到家，结束。（more info.请google即可。）
