Corrigenda of the article: dynamics of ecorestoration

Corrigenda about article: The dynamics of ecosystem restoration: theoretical considerations on the basis of species richness, Plant Ecology, 2010, 209: 205-217.

       The article deals with ecosystem restoration and dynamics. In the text of the article, the integrated approaches used to evaluate ecosystem restoration and dynamical analysis provides a new understanding of ecosystem restoration. I ever studied the problem for several years. However, I found that there were some errors in equations in the article when I exchanged with Dr. Michael Frank, Courtney Sherwood, and Lauren Tirado. Thus, I upload the corrigenda to ScienceNet. ScienceNet is a good platform on which much information including the correction about article can be searched by Google and other tools. Using the form, colleagues in the field in the world can use the corrigenda to precisely understand the approaches in the article when reading the article.

 

1)        Unite of equation (8) should be s2.y-2 as figure 3.
2)        Ds/dt should be distributed in equation (12) and (13) and then, add “Because F= F1+ F2+ F3, ds/dt in value in equation (13) can be canceled out (but keep unites) for convenience of mathematical analysis.” before “Comparing Eq. 13 and 4, we get”. Thus, the two equations change into:
  $\Psi $ =dv/dt=d2s/dt2=rp/asm+2rs/asm2+Nuds/dt-(2r/asm+2rps/asm2)ds/dt-b*ds/dt                         (12)

   F= (rp/asm+2rs/asm2+Nu)s*ds/dt-bs*ds/dt-(2r/asm+2rps/asm2)s*ds/dt                                      (13)

3) Equation 20 and 21 contain mistakes when ds/dt equals zero deriving from 18 and 19, wich can not be recovered to 18 and 19. The two equations should be:

       

p=[(abs-r-a*Nu*s)sm2+2rssm-rs2]/(rrsm-rs2)                                          (20)

b= [(r+a*Nu*s)sm2+(rps-2rs)sm+(r-rp)s2] /assm2                                   (21)

4)      Equation 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 showed the unite s2.y-2 as figure 3 because we used these unites, r: s.y-1; p, Nu and a: no unite; sm: s; s: s; b: y-1; ds/dt: s.y-1.
