简介一句话：

Rattle is a free and open source data mining toolkit written in the statistical language R using the Gnome graphical interface.

觉得最明显的特点是：

需要先加载数据，然后选某模式进行计算（根据里面的菜单选择，参见下图）

好像没有直接将命令提交给R（所谓submit command directly to R）的地方。

用汉语来说，就是：

【键入'rattle()'去轻摇、晃动、翻滚你的数据。】

不知道上面的翻译是自动的还是有人故意的。。。。不过还是很传神的。

这就是一个数据分析的工具，将常用的工具都列出来了，加载数据并设定参数，就可以Go了。

看来数据分析师的工作也是很cool的。。

有意思的是里面引用的另一句话：

“So what’s getting ubiquitous and cheap? Data. And what is complementary to data? Analysis. So my recommendation is to take lots of courses about how to manipulate and analyze data: databases, machine learning, econometrics, statistics, visualization, and so on.” Professor Hal Varian, Chief Economist at Google, speaking to the New York Times in February 2009.

而我对这个free的软件很钦佩的原因之一在于它的Freedom：

Modern Information and Communications Technology is dramatically and rapidly changing society. It is, perhaps, a choice between freedom and oppression.

Life should be free. Don't let the gates of hell enslave humanity. Open your windows and breath the fresh air.

We might be standing at the top of the mountain, already having travelled the rocky slopes and unmade paths to get there, but from where we stand we can see better ways of getting to the top - hope we can shout some of that experience down the slope as you continue to climb this way.....
