2017诺贝尔生理学或医学奖会是他们吗？

东京工业大学YoshinoriOhsumi因发现自体吞噬（autophagy）的机制而获得2016年诺贝尔生理学或医学奖。转眼间，明天又到2017年诺贝尔奖生理学或医学奖颁奖的日子了，相信科学家们心目中都预测了2017年可能获得诺贝尔奖的科学家。汤森路透社（现名称为Clarivate Analytics ）从2002年开始每年都会进行诺贝尔奖预测，2017年预测名单中有四位科学家入选生理学或医学领域，分别是威尔康乃尔医学院癌症生物医学教授Lewis C. Cantley，英国伦敦大学学院教授Karl J. Friston，美国匹兹堡大学医学院的Yuan Chang，PatrickS. Moore。

他们贡献分别为：Lewis C. Cantley (发现了磷酸肌醇-3-激酶（PI3K）信号通路及其在肿瘤发展过程中角色, For discovery of the signaling pathway phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) and elucidation of its role in tumor growth); Karl J. Friston (脑成像数据分析方面的重要贡献, For fundamental contributions to the analysis of brain imaging data, specifically through statistical parametric mapping and voxel-based morphometry); Yuan Chang, Patrick S. Moore (发现了人类疱疹病毒，For their discovery of the Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated herpes virus, or human herpesvirus 8 (KSHV/HHV8)).

Lewis C. Cantley: Meyer Director of the Sandra and Edward Meyer Cancer Center and Professor of Cancer Biology in Medicine, Weill Cornell Medicine, New York, NY, USA.

Karl J. Friston: Professor of Imaging Neuroscience and Wellcome Principal Research Fellow, Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging, University College London, London, UK.

Yuan Chang: American Cancer Society Research Professor, Distinguished Professor ofPathology, and UPMC Endowed Chair in Cancer Virology, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, PA, USA.

Patrick S. Moore: Director of the Cancer Virology Program, Universityof Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, American Cancer Society Research Professor, Distinguished Professor of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and the Pittsburgh Foundation Chair in Innovative Cancer Research.
