@ 欧阳修《集古录跋尾》谓等慈寺碑、普济寺碑和昭仁寺碑为贞观二年立，而他主持修订的《新唐书》说太宗修建七寺（另外四寺为慈云寺、弘济寺、昭觉寺和昭福寺）的诏书是贞观三年闰十二月癸丑，这个时间特别修正了《旧唐书》“十二月癸丑”的失误（当年十二月无癸丑日），欧公似不应疏忽；或许主编大人顾不了那么多细节。（有人考证，诏书下达日期为贞观二年十一月十三日。）

@ Ravetz在Scientific Knowledge and itsSocial Dimension (1971) 中刻画了“不成熟和不充分的探究领域”（immature andineffective fields of inquiry），其特征是，多年不见打破旧东西的进步，只见出现一个个学派，只听宣言而不见成果，如昙花一现。（Watching the activity of a field over a period of years, one doesnot witness the steady accumulation of new facts, perhaps some   superceding but never completely destroyingthe old. Instead, there is a succession of leading schools, each with amanifesto which is more impressive than its achievements, and each passing intoobscurity when its turn on the stage is over.）
