The new scope of virus taxonomy: partitioning the virosphere into 15 hierarchical ranks

        Consequently, the ICTV has changed its Code to allow a 15-rank classification hierarchy that closely aligns with the Linnaean taxonomic system and may accommodate the entire spectrum of genetic divergence in the virosphere.

        冠状病毒在系统分类上属套式病毒目（Nidovirales）冠状病毒科（Coronaviridae）冠状病毒属（Coronavirus）。冠状病毒属的病毒是具囊膜（envelope）、基因组为线性单股正链的RNA病毒，是自然界广泛存在的一大类病毒。

        2019新型冠状病毒（SARS-CoV-2，引发新型冠状病毒肺炎COVID-19）是目前已知的第7种可以感染人的冠状病毒，其余6种分别是HCoV-229E、HCoV-OC43、HCoV-NL63、HCoV-HKU1、SARS-CoV（引发重症急性呼吸综合征）和MERS-CoV（引发中东呼吸综合征）。     

     病毒(Biological virus)是一类由核酸（DNA或RNA）和/或蛋白质等少数几种成分组成的“非细胞生物”，但是它的生存必须依赖于活细胞。病毒分为真病毒（Euvirus，简称病毒）和亚病毒（Subvirus，包括类病毒、拟病毒、朊病毒）。
